JOURNEY TO A NEW BEGINNING

Today is Thanksgiving and there is so much for me to be thankful for. Where to begin is the problem. ;-)

I suppose to get started, I should give thanks that my mother, Thelma, is still with me and well at 89 years old. Soon to be 90 in January, she is medication free, mentally stable (for the most part) and physically still able to get around. She is my best friend and best fan. Who could ask for more. Then there is my family - 3 sisters, 4 nieces and nephew and 3 (soon to be 4) great nieces and nephews. They are smart, beautiful and very clever and keep me smiling. Always in my mind, is my dad, Bill Hunt. He left us 15 years ago but he is mainly the blame for my love of photography, ability to create and instilling in us "girls" an eye to see nature and all that encompasses.

I am hoping to retire soon so that I can be home more for my mother and to begin my journey into the next phase of my life which will be showcasing the artistic side of my life. Photography - Painting - Creativity - Design. This is the most exciting venture I have ever undertaken and I can't believe I will be able to actually take this on.

Now, there are obsticles I need to overcome. First, getting rid of this blasted Bronchitis. It's kicking me in the butt for going on 3 weeks now. This has got to end! Secondly, getting myself into physical shape so that I can really enjoy this part of my life. I refuse to go into retirement feeling retired. I want to take the bull by the horns and plow through coming out smelling like a rose in the end. Wow, that's 3 sayings put together. Clever, right? Seriously, I want to put in years of doing what I love and be successfully happy and healthy.

This is my first blog. It certainly won't be my last as I journal my way through creating an interesting blog, intriguing webpage and above all, creating beautiful works of art through my brush and lens. Please join me in this expedition and feel free to make any suggestions to help improve, well, me.

My beautiful niece, Dena and two great nieces, Avery on the left and Ava, Thanksgiving two years ago. Please feel free to check out Dena's blog: {life} A Beautiful Journey
